Sold out? Let shoppers know when it's back.
Mint Back in Stock adds a "Notify me when available" button to sold-out variants and emails every waiting shopper when the item can be bought online again — fairly, oldest first, with a limit per unit if you want one.

Turn "sold out" into a list of buyers
Everything you need to capture demand for sold-out variants and bring those shoppers back when stock returns.
Shoppers leave their email in a small form under the add-to-cart button. The button follows variant changes, so it only shows for the size or colour that is actually sold out. Add it with one click as an app embed, or place the block yourself.
When inventory changes, the app checks the variant's stock that can be sold online. Stock sitting at a location that doesn't ship online orders doesn't trigger alerts, so nobody is told an item is back when they still can't buy it.
Three units back and two hundred people waiting? Choose to email, say, up to five shoppers per unit. People are emailed in the order they asked; the rest stay on the list for the next restock. Each shopper gets one email per request.
On in-stock items, shoppers can ask to hear if the price goes down. When you lower it (by at least the percentage you choose), they get one email with the old and new price.
Edit the subject, heading, text and button, see a live preview, and send yourself a test. Replies go to your store's contact email. Every alert has a one-click unsubscribe link and says why the shopper got it.
See which variants people are waiting for, how many alerts went out, which were clicked, and the orders that contained the product within 7 days of a click. Export requests and alerts as CSV.
Switch it on, then forget about it
Most stores are set up in a few minutes.
One click opens your theme editor with the app embed ready. No theme code is changed.
They enter their email on the sold-out variant. You see the demand per product and variant in the app.
When the stock is back in Shopify, alerts go out automatically, with a button that adds the item to the cart.

Questions merchants ask
What counts as back in stock?
A variant counts as back when the product is active, published on your online store, and Shopify says it can be sold online: its sellable online quantity is above zero, or it isn't limited (inventory not tracked, or "continue selling when out of stock" is on). The app checks after every inventory or product change, and re-checks regularly (about every 6 hours) while people are waiting.
What if a lot of people are waiting for a few units?
By default everyone waiting is emailed. You can instead limit it to a number of shoppers per unit in stock. They're emailed oldest request first, once per restock, and anyone not emailed stays on the list for the next one.
Where do the emails come from?
Alerts are sent by Mint Back in Stock from our email service, with your store's name as the sender and your store's contact email as the reply-to address. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. On Pro you can add your logo and button colour.
What if an email can't be sent?
The request isn't lost. If email sending is paused or unavailable, requests stay on the list, the app shows you what's waiting, and alerts go out automatically as soon as sending works again. An email failing to send never removes a request.
What happens after 50 alerts on the Free plan?
Requests keep being collected. Shoppers who couldn't be emailed stay on the list and are emailed automatically next month while the item is in stock, or right away if you upgrade. Nothing is charged automatically.
Does the form sign shoppers up to my newsletter?
No. The alert is a one-off email about one item. You can add an optional checkbox (never ticked in advance) that asks for email marketing consent; only shoppers who tick it are added to your Shopify customers with marketing consent.
What do you store about shoppers?
Their email address (encrypted), the variant they asked about, the date, and whether they ticked the marketing box. A request is deleted once its alert is sent, or after 180 days. Details are on our privacy page.
